The Seac Basic HD 5 mm are high-cut diving boots in 5 mm neoprene, the most versatile model of the Basic HD line. They are designed for temperate water: they work in the Mediterranean for most of the year, from spring to autumn, and for anyone who wants one boot for most of their dives.
The right balance of warmth and comfort
The 5 mm neoprene protects from the cold on longer dives without making your feet too heavy. The semi-rigid non-slip sole in vulcanized rubber gives stability on the seabed and on slippery surfaces and protects your foot from rocks when entering and leaving the water.
Quick donning and secure fit
The stainless steel side zip and the Velcro strap let you put on and take off the boots quickly and easily, with a stable, custom fit even while wearing gloves.
Support and fin strap lock
The PU insert gives excellent instep support and reduces fatigue while finning. The hard rubber notch on the heel keeps the strap of open heel fins in place throughout the dive.

Why choose the 5 mm?
It is the most versatile: warm enough for temperate water and comfortable on long dives too. For warm water there is the Basic HD 3 mm, for cold water the Basic HD 7 mm.
Are they suitable for open heel fins?
Yes, the sole protects your foot and the heel notch keeps the fin strap or spring strap in place.
Are they easy to put on with gloves?
Yes, the side zip and the Velcro strap are easy to use even with gloves.
