Protective treatment for marine teak
Teak Wonder Dressing & Sealer is a durable protective treatment for teak wood, formulated without oil-based components. The product gives the wood a pleasant natural golden appearance without darkening the surface, helping maintain the original look of teak used in marine environments.
Even new teak can age quickly if it is not regularly washed with fresh water or protected with a suitable treatment. Many teak protectors available on the market are oil-based products that may cause several issues: they tend to darken the wood, attract dust and dirt, rise to the surface when heated making the deck greasy and slippery, and may stain clothing.
Effective protection without oil-based ingredients
Teak Wonder Dressing & Sealer provides long-lasting protection thanks to its non-oily formula. The special components in the product seal the pores of the wood, helping to prevent the penetration of dust and dirt.
The treatment also protects the natural oils of teak from ultraviolet radiation, slowing the oxidation and discoloration processes typically caused by prolonged exposure to the elements.
Protection against liquids and contaminants
The protective layer helps limit the penetration of liquids such as diesel fuel, oil, fish blood or paint into the wood. If these substances are removed before drying, they can be cleaned more easily.
The product does not produce unpleasant odours, does not make the surface glossy or slippery, is not sticky and dries quickly. It also does not darken the teak and does not accumulate over time.
Application instructions
For best results it is recommended to apply two generous coats of the product on new teak or on surfaces previously treated with Teak Wonder Cleaner and Teak Wonder Brightener, ensuring that the wood is completely dry.
An additional coat after 8–12 weeks helps maintain protection without repeating the full cleaning treatment. The product should be mixed thoroughly before use. Any drips on surfaces other than teak should be cleaned immediately.
