Solas Amita YC Plus 3-Blade Aluminium Propeller is a 3-blade aluminium propeller (right-hand rotation) for Evinrude/Johnson/OMC, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha outboards of 40-60 HP. Available in 4 sizes (diameter x pitch, in inches): 11.6 x 12, 11.6 x 13, 11.6 x 14 and 11.4 x 15. Pitch is the trade-off between thrust and speed: a lower pitch accelerates better and carries more load, a higher pitch gives a higher top speed.

Which pitch should I choose for Solas Amita YC Plus?
Versions range from 12 to 15 inches of pitch (sizes: 11.6 x 12, 11.6 x 13, 11.6 x 14 and 11.4 x 15). If the engine cannot reach the maximum rpm given by the manufacturer at full throttle, or the boat is heavily loaded, you need a lower pitch; if it exceeds it, a higher pitch. As a rule of thumb, one inch of pitch more or less shifts engine speed by about 150-200 rpm.
Is Solas Amita YC Plus suitable for sea use?
Yes. It is squeeze-cast aluminium with four coats of anti-corrosion paint. After use in salt water, rinse the propeller with fresh water.
