Portable VHF Marine Transceiver with Aluminum Chassis and IP67
The Midland Arctic is a portable VHF marine transceiver designed to deliver professional technical performance in a robust and reliable body. The aluminum chassis and IP67 waterproof rating make it suitable for intensive use in marine environments, providing complete protection from water and weather. All functions are accessible directly from the keypad, including direct access to emergency channel 16.
The removable antenna with standard SMA connector allows you to use alternative antennas based on your operational needs. Management of Charlie and Alpha channels and other advanced functions is available through the optional PRG-G15 programming software, which enables up to 57 user-programmable international channels.
Transmission Power and Channel Management
The Midland Arctic transmits at selectable power of 5W or 1W, adapting to different communication needs. It supports Dual Watch and Triple Watch for simultaneous monitoring of multiple channels, with configurable priority channel. The SCAN functions and 10 Squelch levels ensure clean reception even under heavy radio traffic.
Autonomy and Advanced Features
The Li-Ion battery pack with 1600mAh ensures long operational autonomy, supported by automatic power-saving mode and low battery indicator. The 10-level VOX function enables hands-free communication, while Roger Beep and keypad beep enhance daily use experience. Keypad lock prevents accidental activation. The 2-pin Motorola accessory connector guarantees compatibility with a wide range of headsets and external microphones.
