The Midland M5 PRO is a multi-standard CB transceiver built around a separate black box architecture: the electronics are housed in a compact unit that can be mounted discreetly, while all operating functions are managed directly from the multifunction microphone. Designed for dynamic vehicle use — motorhomes, off-road vehicles, professional road use — where cabin space, ease of operation and communication reliability are critical requirements.
FSTN Display and Simplified Controls
The 1.85" backlit graphic FSTN display ensures clear readability in all lighting conditions, from direct sunlight to low-light environments. The interface has been refined over the previous generation: a single integrated knob handles power and volume control, allowing quick and safe adjustments even when wearing gloves.
Transmission Audio and Hands-Free Operation
ANC (Automatic Noise Cancelling) technology reduces ambient noise during driving, improving transmission audio quality at high speeds or on rough terrain. The 5-level adjustable VOX function enables hands-free communication without touching the microphone, while Dual Watch mode allows simultaneous monitoring of two channels — ideal for keeping the emergency channel or a secondary operating channel under constant surveillance.
The system features a selectable dual speaker — one in the radio body, one in the microphone — allowing audio output to be adapted to the environment and installation configuration.
