Mastervolt Charge Mate 1202 – Battery Combiner Relay
Auxiliary power on board is increasingly common. Since a second battery can protect the main battery from being drained and thus prevent starting failure, the Mastervolt Charge Mate 1202 is a safe and reliable solution to keep it always charged.
The second battery still needs to be recharged regularly: the Charge Mate series connects two battery banks during charging and keeps them isolated during discharge, completely automatically. The Charge Mate 1202 is particularly practical for small systems.
Automatic operation
The relay connects the two battery banks when the voltage exceeds the connection threshold (13-15 V at 12 V, 26-30 V at 24 V) for at least 5 seconds, allowing simultaneous charging. When the voltage drops below the disconnection threshold, the systems are isolated again to protect the secondary battery from discharge.
