Lowrance Link-6S – VHF DSC Radio with GPS
The Lowrance Link-6S is a marine Class D DSC VHF radio with built-in GPS, designed for reliable use in all situations, both emergency and routine communications. Selectable transmission power of 25/1W, NMEA 0183 data input on RS422 serial. Available with gimbal bracket or flush mount installation, with no additional kit required.
High-Visibility Display
The high-contrast LCD display in white on black ensures excellent readability in full daylight. For night use, an inverted mode is available that reduces light emissions and preserves night vision, with brightness adjustable to near zero.
Intuitive Controls
A knob enables fast channel selection, alongside large, widely spaced buttons for immediate access to all functions. The ergonomic four-button microphone is designed for comfortable use with both hands and integrates keys for quick access to channel 16 and transmission power selection. A dedicated key on the front panel provides immediate access to emergency channel 16.
Class D DSC
The approved Class D DSC system enables automatic distress calls with position transmission when connected to a compatible GPS receiver. DSC functions, active once the MMSI code is entered, facilitate communications between vessels, with harbour authorities and for distress requests.
Tri Watch and Channel Scanning
The Tri Watch function simultaneously scans the current channel, emergency channel 16 and an additional user-configurable priority channel. Multiple scanning modes are available — across all available channels or only selected favourite channels — with the option to prioritise emergency channels to avoid missing distress calls or urgent safety messages.
Favourite Channels and International Coverage
The favourite channels mode allows frequently used channels to be selected and scrolled through quickly via the knob. The Link-6S supports all international channels, including USA and Canada, for global use.
Installation
The included gimbal bracket allows mounting on a table, overhead or on a wall. Flush mount installation at low profile is also supported with no additional kit required. Power supply 12V DC.
