Remote CommandMic for Icom Marine VHF Radios
The Icom HM-229B CommandMic is a remote control station for Icom marine VHF radios, designed to provide full radio operation from a secondary location onboard. Ideal for yachts, motorboats and professional vessels, it allows complete control of the main VHF unit directly from the cockpit, flybridge or additional helm station.
The HM-229B can also be used as an intercom system between the remote unit and the main radio, improving onboard communication and operational flexibility.
Intuitive Interface with High-Visibility Display
The user-friendly interface ensures fast and simple access to all radio functions. A large, high-brightness display combined with backlit function keys guarantees excellent readability in bright sunlight and low-light marine environments.
AquaQuake Technology for Clear Audio
Icom’s exclusive AquaQuake™ function removes water from the speaker grille by generating low-frequency vibrations. Activated by pressing two buttons simultaneously, this feature ensures clear and intelligible audio even after exposure to water spray.
Integrated Class D DSC Receiver
The built-in Class D DSC receiver continuously monitors Channel 70 independently from the main receiver, ensuring reliable Digital Selective Calling (DSC) emergency monitoring at all times.
Designed for Marine Environments
With an IPX7 waterproof rating, a powerful 45 mm speaker and a 2 W external speaker output, the HM-229B is engineered for demanding marine installations. Its ergonomic design provides a secure and comfortable grip. Available in black or white to match different helm configurations.
