Hempel's Silic One 77450 is an innovative silicone and hydrogel-based antifouling coating, completely biocide-free, designed to provide effective hull protection below the waterline. Thanks to its high-solid fouling release technology, it creates an extremely smooth, low surface energy finish that prevents marine organisms from attaching.
The silicone-based hydrogel micro-layer forms an invisible barrier between the hull and the water, giving the surface water-like properties. Fouling organisms perceive the hull as a liquid surface and are therefore far less likely to adhere. When the boat is in motion, any deposits are easily released thanks to the self-cleaning effect of the silicone polymers.
