Hempel Conversion Primer is a two-component epoxy primer designed to enable easy conversion from conventional antifouling systems to Hempel’s advanced biocide-free fouling protection.
It acts as a bonding agent between existing and new coatings, ensuring secure and durable adhesion when applied over previously painted antifouling in good condition.
Main Function
- Conversion primer from traditional antifouling to biocide-free systems
- Bonding agent between old and new coatings
- Ensures adhesion of Hempel biocide-free products
- Can be used as a tiecoat between an epoxy-primed surface and coatings such as Hempaspeed TF
Recommended Use
- Application over antifouling in good condition
- Base for biocide-free fouling protection systems
- Intermediate coat between epoxy primer and Hempaspeed TF
