The Garmin Panoptix PS51-TH is the premium through-hull transducer in the Panoptix FrontVü lineup, engineered to deliver continuous real-time sonar imaging of everything ahead of the bow. Its 20° x 90° beam (LiveVü & FrontVü) enables highly accurate detection of obstacles, shallow areas and underwater structures directly on the navigation course, making this transducer an essential tool for safe boating.
Integrated AHRS Sensor for a Stable Image Even in Rough Water
The built-in AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System) sensor automatically compensates for the vessel's roll and pitch, delivering a stable, sharp and distortion-free sonar image regardless of wave conditions. This ensures continuous and reliable data acquisition without interruptions caused by boat movement.
Forward Range up to 100 Metres with High-Frequency Data Refresh
The PS51-TH operates at 417 kHz with a transmission power of 96 W, providing a forward range equal to 8 to 10 times the depth below the vessel, up to an indicative maximum of 100 metres ahead and 300 feet downward. The high data refresh rate enables immediate detection of obstacles on the route, reducing crew reaction time. FrontVü detection capability decreases at speeds above 8 knots.
LiveVü Forward: Real-Time Sonar Imaging Ahead of the Bow
The LiveVü Forward feature delivers continuous, precise and detailed sonar images of everything in front of the vessel, updated in real time. This technology enables detection of fish, structures and bottom composition changes with visual clarity that surpasses conventional 2D fishfinders, improving both navigation safety and fishing effectiveness.
Compact Through-Hull Installation Suitable for Any Vessel
The transducer's compact dimensions and through-hull mounting system simplify installation on hulls with a deadrise angle of up to 20° and hull thickness up to 3/4 inch. The package includes a complete installation kit and fairing block to ensure correct hydrodynamic alignment of the transducer.
Compatibility with Garmin Marine Network and Leading Garmin Chartplotters
The Panoptix PS51-TH is compatible with Garmin echoMAP® CHIRP 7- and 9-inch chartplotters, GPSMAP® series 7400, series 8400, models 721, 820, 1020 and the latest GPSMAP 722/922 and 1022/1222. Thanks to full integration with the Garmin Marine Network, the PS51-TH signal can be displayed simultaneously on all Garmin chartplotters connected on board.
