Cressi Octopus XS Compact: the backup regulator of the XS Compact range
The Cressi Octopus XS Compact shares the same technopolymer casing as all second stages in the XS Compact range. It is distinguished by its yellow front cover — instantly recognisable as an emergency regulator — and a longer hose (100 cm instead of the standard 76 cm), designed to make air sharing easier in an emergency.
The mechanics are identical to the other XS Compact second stages: downstream system with adjustable side valve and the exhaust valve improvement introduced with the Ellipse Balanced. The cracking pressure is set slightly higher than other XS Compact models to eliminate any risk of free-flowing when used as a backup regulator. The supply pressure range is 9–10 bar, making it compatible with all Cressi first stages.
