The Cressi GT Steel + Master Pro + Master Octopus set combines the GT Steel + Master Pro regulator with a Master octopus, all designed for cold water diving. It is certified EN 250:2014 for cold water (A, below 10 °C / 50 °F).
The GT Steel first stage is hermetically sealed: the chamber stays dry and the internal parts are protected from freezing and from silt and sand contamination. It is machined from marine-grade stainless steel, which is highly corrosion resistant and more sustainable than brass. An internal heat exchanger captures heat from exhaled air and uses it to warm the valve mechanism, as an extra barrier against freezing. The hyper-balanced diaphragm adjusts the air flow to the water pressure, and Cressi's PressureSync technology keeps the intermediate pressure steady throughout the breathing cycle.
The Master Pro second stage is pneumatically balanced. The stainless steel reinforcement on the cover, with ports that neutralise dynamic water pressure, prevents free-flow caused by current. The adjustable Venturi has two modes: Dive and Pre-Dive. The lightweight Miflex hose has a 360° stainless steel swivel.
Master Octopus included
The Master Octo is built to the same standards as the Master Pro: in an emergency, your buddy's second stage must perform as well as yours. The shell is made of high-quality medical-grade plastic, treated to inhibit the bacterial growth caused by saliva and moisture, and resistant to salt water corrosion. The elliptical design fits the face and the large elliptical diaphragm reduces inhalation effort, especially at depth or with high air demand. An internal heat exchanger uses the diver's breath to prevent ice from forming.
To stop the octopus from free-flowing, the Master Octo has a stainless steel front insert with slots that neutralise dynamic water pressure, plus an adjustable Venturi that can be set to any position between pre-dive and dive.
