The Comet HFB-30 is a single-band vehicle antenna designed specifically to operate on the 10 MHz (30-metre band) frequency, intended for amateur radio operators and professionals who need reliable HF communications on the move. Thanks to its compact size — 106 cm long and only 300 g in weight — it fits easily onto any vehicle without compromising manoeuvrability.
Performance and technical compatibility
The antenna is tuned to a 50 Ohm impedance, the universal standard for HF transceiver equipment, ensuring direct matching with no need for external antenna tuners in most installations. The PL-type connector (PL-259/SO-239) ensures compatibility with almost all HF transceivers and vehicle mounting bases available on the market. The manageable maximum power is 250 W, an adequate value for both voice and digital/CW operation on the 30-metre band.
